Where to begin...
Lots and lots of wedding planning and preparations over the last few weeks. I feel like time has flown by and here I am, one week from the big wedding day! I'm excited, exhausted, relieved we finally made it to the finish line. Wow, time has just disappeared and I'm trying to decompress before the big day next Saturday.
I forgot how much effort AND money is poured into a special couple's big day. My head is spinning, and like my good friend and fellow blogger (Unclenched) said, the words just haven't been wordin lately.
The words have NOT been wordin!!! Which is completely unlike me and ironic given the amount of emotions and thoughts that have been racing through my mind and body. Life is an adventure and for most it really starts when you find your special person and dedicate your life to them, wholeheartedly.
I can't wait for next Saturday when I get to see my oldest son commit his life, love, heart and energy to the person he found worthy to share it with. I love my future daughter. She's become my best friend over the last three years. I'm over the moon for my two kids!
I find myself in such a strange place. When they got engaged, I told myself that I wanted to share it with a special person. But, life has a way of showing me that it was never in the cards. I dated, I even asked a couple of gentlemen. They, unfortunately, had other engagements that kept them from attending with me. I'm okay with it actually. I've spent the better part of raising these boys doing things alone. It seems fitting that my attention is solely on my son and future daughter. No sadness, loneliness or regrets.
Say a small prayer that this week goes well and there are no major hiccups for these kids. Especially say a prayer for blessings as they say I do...NEXT SATURDAY at 2PM. They're going to the chapel!!!!
