Girls Rule, Guys Drool!

If the title caught your attention...I hope you giggled like a kid, because I did.  I can remember saying this to my middle school girlfriends like we were the coolest girls created.  Back then, I had the opinion that guys just weren't as cool as girls. As a Mama of boys, that's changed.  I'd also like to think I've matured a little bit since 7th grade.  But, who knows...some days...nah!!

Over the years, my opinions about lots of things have changed, evolved and even gotten stronger.  We see things differently after we experience "life".  It's all part of God's great plan and his hope that we do evolve into the good humans we're meant to be.

If you were ask me if I feel like women are superior to men, the answer would not be black and white.  There's lots of gray hues there these days.  I don't want any men offended because I'm not a "man-bashing" kind of gal and I respect and appreciate men.  I also love love love my girlfriends.

Who else can you tell your deepest darkest secrets to and know that there's no judgement or ill will??  I've been given the best girlfriends.  I especially love the gals I can preface a statement by saying "this is going to be TMI" and their response is..."nothing is TMI".  Which means they want me to spill every foul disgusting detail of my story I'm about to share.

Let's face it.  I've had some great guy friends, but guys just don't want to hear about our monthly visitor, our chin hair that suddenly pops up out of nowhere or be questioned if the outfit we have on makes us look fat.  My girls though, they're all about it and there for every second.

I never thought I'd be turning 50 and have the troop of girlfriends I have today.  I feel so favored and almost like I'm living a charmed life these days.  Almost every one of them entered my life during times of struggle.  I'm no dummy, they were placed there for me.  It's beyond miraculous how our journeys began and how our lives intertwine with ease, grace, love, respect and devotion.  Wow, just wow..

We have laughed entirely too much and too hard (not!).  We've held each other and cried together.  We pray for each other.  We send way too many tik toks, memes, gifs to each other for our age group (20-70).

As my life dial changes to 50, I am so grateful for each of you.  And if you're not part of my tribe, it's just because we haven't met yet.  Ladies, be proud and love your big hearts, deep thoughts, louder than life laughter.  You're healers and you've healed me.  I love you all!
