Last night I was doom scrolling tik tok and came across a video that stopped me in my scrolling tracks. I didn't save it and I wish I had. It showed 9 types of Christians when they meet Jesus for the first time in heaven. The video suggested some will bombard him with hugs, some will be "fancy" and kiss each cheek, some will be "aggressive" huggers picking him up off the ground in giant bear hugs, some will immediately start talking about anything and everything, etc. The one that touched me most and I instantly knew I would be this one...the "bawler". When I meet him I know I'll lose all composure and cry like a baby. Magnificent tears of joy, gratitude, and this enormous love for him. Gosh...Jesus bumps are forming on my arms right now as I type. It's like that song, "I can only imagine".
The thought of that day brings me such comfort and peace. I know that when my time is completed on this earth, I'm in for a far greater blessing than I can fathom on this side of heaven. Those thoughts quickly transitioned to the power of his beautiful name. My mind is a strange play ground and its inner working still shocks me every day. I understand that my thoughts and ideas in times like this are not my own and I just need to go with it. And if you're reading...you're along for the ride. LOL!
When harsh realities of this life pull me down, I tend to overlook the biblical teaching that all I have to do is call on that beautifully powerful name. Who's name has as much dominance over our thoughts, fears or anxieties? I can't think of any other name but Jesus.
There have been times that all I could do was whisper his name. Over and over... He meets me right where I'm at, physically and emotionally. I hope you've all encountered that type of saving grace.
If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, I beg you to reconsider. When nothing in this world makes sense, he does. When there is no one else to hold you, he's got you. When the thoughts in your crazy brain bring about confusion, anxiety, self-deprecation like mine does, he reassures us and calms the fears.
Once you put your faith in him, you, too, can decide the type of Christian you'll be when you get to meet him for the first time. All I know for sure, it'll be the best day of each of our lives.
I love you all so much....but he always love you more!

Bible Verses about Power In The Name Of Jesus:
John 3:16-20 ESV - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
John 14:13-14 ESV - Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
Philippians 2:9-11 ESV - Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Acts 4:12 ESV - And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
John 16:23-24 ESV - In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Colossians 3:17 ESV - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
James 4:7 ESV - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
John 14:14 ESV - If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
John 16:33 ESV - I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Mark 16:17-18 ESV - And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Acts 2:38 ESV - And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
