You ever experience a time in your life when you feel completely lost?
Life has been go, go, go for the better part of a year and half and now I find myself in a space where there's no more deadlines, schedules or list of priorities. I woke up this morning early and was ready for work in record time, looking forward to getting back to my normal routine. I'm not exactly sure what that looks like any more.
I have conflicted emotions; one of being free and open to anything and the other...well, I miss my structure and scheduling. It's almost as if the world is my oyster right now and I can explore what that looks like if I want to. BUT do I want to? I think so...but do I have what it takes?? Maybe I'm still a little whack-a-doodle over the lack of sleep and physical exhaustion.
I'm not mad at the thought of having nothing to do except going home after work, enjoying my safe haven and actually getting caught up on that mound of laundry staring me right in the face each time I walk into the bathroom. But once that's done...what next? Maybe I'll start a business, maybe I'll get my paints out to create sweet Christmas gifts, maybe I'll catch up on my reading, maybe...
I've enjoyed every overwhelming minute of the last year and half. But I think I am going to like this next chapter even more. You know what this next season is full of??? Possibilities! I love that word. I have possibilities.
This almost empty nester is going to start planning and prepping for the next possibility. You guys need to hold onto your seats. I'm sure it'll be a wild ride...it wouldn't be me if it didn't include some twists and turns.
If you've ever found yourself in this "predicament", how did you handle the clean slate and possibilities in front of you? I, for one, am going to take full advantage of every single one of them. Life is too short to sit on the sidelines and let it pass you by.
Don't worry, you'll be the first to know the next BIG THING going on with me...just as soon as I figure out exactly what that is!
Love y'all!
Kelley
