Lest We Never Forget

Today is more than just a paid holiday, a day off work or a day of rest.  It's a day set aside to remember those that have sacrificed the most for our safety and freedom.  It's a day to remember those who gave all they had for people they never met.  A day to remember the families and friends that were left behind without them because their family members heroically chose put theirselves in harms way for us.

I don't know if these brave men and women thought about the ultimate price they could pay when they decided to become part of this great nation's military, police force, or any other role that requires 100% dedication to serve and protect.  It's times like this that I don't have strong enough words to express my gratitude, my pride and love I feel for our service members.

Today and everyday, I will pray for them and their families. I will remember those who died so we could be free, shielded from harms way and unselfishly protected. I challenge my readers to remember those who have died in the line of duty, remember those who put their lives on the line every day and pray for our leaders as they make those hard decisions to place them in harms way.

God bless them and each of you.  May God heal our nation and God Bless the USA.
